Welcome to the, “Keep Sheriff Ennis Wright”, website. I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your overwhelming support and encouragement that you have given me. As the election quickly approaches in 2022, I look forward to continuing as your Sheriff in 2022. As your sheriff, you have entrusted me with the responsibility of being ever faithful in the duties of providing residents of Cumberland County with nationally accredited professional law enforcement services, along with maintaining a modernized detention center, which is highly recognized as an exemplary facility amongst its peers. Many times while speaking with all of you, I have proclaimed that the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office belongs to the citizens and I am honored to be the Sheriff who oversees it. I have been a lifelong resident of Cumberland County, along with having served honorably in the United States Army prior to entering into my 25th consecutive year in law enforcement; so you could say it has always been a calling and commitment to serve. I reflect to the many instilled traits that my mother has given me growing up and one that I hold true is when she said, “Ennis not everyone can be strong”, referring to someone who has to be there for those who cannot go it alone; whether it is because they need to be protected or that they need someone to listen when no one else will. Or, when things are at their darkest hour, to be there to say that we will both see this through together.
The website will keep you informed of upcoming events that I will be having which I hope to see you at. It also has different areas which will give you additional information about myself, what I have accomplished, and what I see as what can be accomplished working together with all the personnel at the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office moving towards the future under my direction. There is the ability to make a donation to the campaign if you would like on the website, just look for the donate button. I look forward to continuing to be your Sheriff in 2022.
Thank You,
Sheriff Ennis Wright
